Marcel H. : Logos that cover the musical content. They do exist. As is proven by the logo of the Germans in Wintarnaht. When you see the logo you immediately think pagan black metal and that is exactly what the listener will get. Also the band name Wintarnaht and the album title 'Tôdhên Uoþal' are clear hints as to in what direction you'll have to look as is the fact that both are in Old High German. All songs are also all in Old High German with the most striking song being the Old High German version of Falkenbach's 'Winternight', the song which the band took its name Wintarnaht from. All their own songs are very nicely varied and even though it's pagan black metal, nowhere will you come across annoying folk metal things. 'Falkenbach's 'Winternight' got a treatment of their own, to which I will say 'chapeau'. A mighty fine pagan black metal album is what 'Tôdhên Uoþal' turned out to be and it can also be recommended to anyone who's tired of the pagan black metal fad that has been doing its rounds.
