Marcel H. : When a black metal band uses the acronym for young tree in its name then the listener probably immediately knows the band must hail from the USA given the fact that many black metal there have a more than passing interest in all things nature. And such is the case with Bastard Sapling. They indeed hail from the USA and have nature among their main themes. It's all nice and fun that Greenpeace black, but does it sound good? Well, I can keep it inside, let's keep it at that. Not bad, but also not good, just middle-of-the-road a dime a dozen ice cold black metal which you come across so often in the USA. There are legions of people who cum immediately when they hear this sort of stuff, but it doesn't really work for me. Fun to play once, but that's it. For good nature inspired American black I'd rather grab back to Wolves In The Throne Room.
