Berto : It does not happen very often that I listen to an album with so much pleasure as I did to 'Breathe In Life' by Betraying The Martyrs. And that while it is not really the most original album. It just sounds very good and comfortable. It all just falls right into place. Roughly you hear a mix of Sonic Syndicate, Meshuggah and Dimmu Borgir. Especially in 'Martyrs' and 'Man Made Disaster' the guitars are spot on Meshuggah, while the clean vocal parts are reminiscent of Sonic Syndicate and just listen to album closer 'When You're Alone'; if that is not Dimmu Borgir I really don't know. But most of all it all fits together really well, with songs where a lot of things happen, like breaks, walls of guitar en parts where your neck muscles will overstretch easily. Do not think these are copycats, they only use the aforementioned bands as an influence, a point of reference , they mix several ingredients to create a very tasty cocktail that you definitely want to finish whole.
