Winston : Projects often are often nice possibilities for musicians to break out of their own territory they created with their own bands. Unexpected collaborations sometime offer interesting new music. The eternal 'ex Helloween singer' Michael Kiske and the 'Simone Simons stand-in' Amanda Somerville came to the idea to give their careers a nice boost and so they came up with a band that combines the musical styles with which they became famous, be it in a lighter set up. Less focused on speed in Kiskes' case but his evolved and better than ever voice stands out better that way. Somerville has a very warm voice that is a pleasant treat to the ears and so it is safe to say that they succeeded with this CD. Heavy and melodic, atmospheric and direct, it may seem a bit too much at first but after a while you get used to the dual singing. The Primal Fear musicians Mat Sinner and Magnus Karlsson provided the musical direction with collaborations from our own Sander Gommans (ex After Forever end HDK). I hope that this album will be greatly received because contrary to many other project I can see this come to live fruition, should be possible I think.
