Bidi : Seether might be originally stemming from South Africa, the L.A. based band sounds unmistakable as a typical American or Canadian post-grunge band. Well you know, bands that make these albums with a few heavy rock tracks to please the guys alternated with some sweet ballads to tease the girls and to make sure the band can get into the charts.

Seether is in the same category as Nickelback,
3 Doors Down, Creed but adds also a little bit of screaming to some songs that reminds of Stone Sour. The first question that comes to mind is whether there are any potential hit singles on the album? The song "Fake It " is meanwhile launched as the first single, but I really don't think the song is catchy enough to stick to the head. Besides the European market is quite UK minded and I don't see any chances for stadium rock acts from the other side of the Atlantic to get into the charts. Probably Seether won't care that much because the chance that alone in the USA more than half a million copies will be sold, is pretty big. The production namely is big enough to blow the doors out of any American car, and isn't that what makes an album successful over there? The Europeans on the other hand will shrug their shoulders when they hear Seether's semi macho rock. Like David Bowie already sung many years ago: "This is not America…. Shalalala”…
