Name: Job GM
Metal has a few beautiful traits that differentiate it from other genres: it's incredibly uniting when you're walking through a festival crowd on a Saturday in sunny June; it's uniquely diverse (from Brutal death to Shoegaze) but most of all it's adventurous. Jazz oftentimes boasts about being confident experimenting, but there's no other genre that dares to grab a listener by the throat and push it into a concrete wall.
Born in 1993, I tend to leave the classics to the ancient colleagues around me and rather focus on more modern music. I can usually appreciate any and all subgenres, although I must admit that power metal is not my thing. My expertise is in progressive music, however, and therefor originality and smart composition are incredibly important to me. Personally active in Libethra, GNSQD and Vulpes as a guitarist, I love a good riff as well!
A few of my favorites throughout the years:
Dream Theater - Images and Words
Behemoth - The Apostasy
Machine Head - The Blackening
Haken - Affinity
Leprous - Bilateral
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Soilwork - The Living Infinite
Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
Revocation - Great Is Our Sin
Devin Townsend Project - Deconstruction
